Sofala - Friday Night....Baronial inebriation....!!
Dana had kindly invited Phylis, Jimmy, the Baron and myself to Sofala for a couple of days, which is where her family own some farmland and also her Brother owns a vineyard which in won an award for its wine in 2004. Waytago!
So, following the big pish up of the wedding, off we trot - this is near Mudgee and is slap bang in the middle of a wine making region! The drive was pretty eventful, as I really thoght we were gonna die at a couple of points - Phil's driving was that good!! That said, I was no better, but Phil and I had a chat and Phil's contribution was, well, expected....!

We had tried to arrive before dark, as apparently the farm is off a dirt track, in the back of beyond, behind a number of hills and as it was the Country - there are no street lights!! Anyway, we failed to get there before night fell and the next coupla hours were very interesting as we tried to find the farm! Don't think tempers were too frayed, although Jimmy took umbrage at my pointing out that stopping in the middle of the road alongside our car, 50m on from a blind corner, probably wasn't the brightest idea! I'll just shut up!!
On arriving and getting in, we can fire into the beer - and of course, being a cold night, the vodka! In this case, the Ukranian pepper vodka! And no, it wasn't a toga party, just fricking cold and like a twat, I hadn't brought any jumpers!!

Ian and Fill toasting my leaving pressie!!
Danz and Jimmy served up a wicked feast and then we got stuck into the wine with abandon! You'd have thought that 6 bottles of wine, half a litre of vodka would be enough right....Baron?
Obviously not, but a top party night. Above....The aforementioned 'Blue-nosed Baron'!
The best thing, when I showed the Baron these pix, he had no recollection..... none...... in fact, since about 10pm. Which was about 20minutes after we'd finished the vodka-ka-ka! Coincidence....?!
